Mountain top experiences for me lately have been like this:
Muster all the courage. Do the thing. Get absolutely crushed. Pick myself back up. Try harder. Get crushed harder.
I’m in a pressing season. Things won’t always be like this, but in the middle of the chaos I am reminding myself that it’s ok to remember the beautiful moments before the fall. It’s ok to hope and wish for better days. It’s ok to miss the way it was and hope for some semblance of that again. Delusional? Possibly. However, hope is the only thing I’m riding on these days. It’s the thing that drives me. That directs me. That’s guiding me out of the darkest hole. One day I’ll get my courage back to try again. In the pressing I’m learning more about myself. I’m choosing myself instead of giving every ounce of my energy away.
“This is so depressing Chrissy.” You’re right. This is hard. Especially when I’ve built my life and persona around joy and cute things. I just wanted to come on here and share the real in the trenches feels too. You’re not a failure when you’ve come this low.
Keep going friend. We’ve got this.

What a crazy adventure I’ve been on these past few months. I feel like my whole life was turned upside down and inside out. Something I’ve learned though is that through the pruning we find our peace. Man it’s been rough, but I’m looking forward to all the exciting adventures and crazy memories I’m going to make.

I know the new year often inspires greatness and even the thought of a restart. Another chance to follow your passion. “Maybe this will be the year I finally xyz.” There’s plenty of people out there willing to inspire you to greatness. Instead..let’s talk about when things aren’t so great.

When you fail this year..fail forward. That advice was given to me in the very beginning of my journey and I still stand by it. Take every setback and learn from your missteps to make adjustments. Don’t be afraid of the inevitable failure. Welcome it not as a setback, but a chance to learn.

Of course I’m rooting for you to Do the Thing. Chase after those crazy goals. Follow that dream. Book the trip. Make the plans. Close your eyes and take the jump. I hope you take the time to learn from failure this year. I guarantee you will come out stronger because of it.

The cutest Micro Planner! How would you use this to plan your day??

I know everyone is posting their vision/goals for 2025 but I want this space to be reserved for a look back at this past year. To be honest, it started out pretty crappy. I had just gotten out of the hospital, was making weekly trips to the doctors office, and trying to find some sort of balance in my mind and my health. I felt so alone..so weak.

If you follow any other small businesses you know that this year was especially hard. So take that and tack on health issues - it’s been rough. Even then, I pushed through and my people carried me.

In January my best friend spoke life to me. She said, “this is going to be your best year. Blessings are coming your way”. When she said it I took it to heart and started looking for the opportunities. Let’s pause and reflect on that. I started looking and expecting.

This year has been incredible. I’ve had so many adventures. My health improved. I lost 60lbs. I’m stronger emotionally and physically. I’ve made friends that have stretched me and challenged me in ways I didn’t think possible. Every month it was like a new chapter was unfolding. I chased so many storms, tried new things..even started off-roading in the jeep!

Then the wildest adventure came the last part of this year. Staying up late at night with people that I feel like I’ve known my whole life. Healing parts of my heart with the stupidest jokes. Challenging me to be a better team member and friend. Playing games but also solving issues in my personal life. I didn’t just add besties to my roster..they came into my life and flipped everything upside down. Shook out all the lies I’d believed about myself for so long and are helping me put it all back together. All of that bc of a 25 year old video game. Dang. Thanks Besties 💖

2024 was a scary start. This coming year..my goals aren’t changing. I’m just going to keep pushing, trying new things, going on adventures, meeting new people, and following joy wherever it leads me. 2025..Joy is my guide.
